Wowhead Forum Review

Other than private servers, I would like to review official WoW community forums too where I've been into a couple.
I've been using Wowhead since Thottbot shut down in November 2010. At first glance, Wowhead seems like the best WoW forums out there, and it really is. But as time went by, I slowly found out the elitist mindset of the general community. It's truly sad, as they were starting to ignore and isolate me from the forum. I left in March 2011.
But recently, I attempted to return, and they accepted me. I still don't see the real side of them though.
Anyhow, this forum ain't bad if you're looking for some of the most comprehensive insights in WoW (mostly off-game, not in-game).

My Thoughts:

Comprehensiveness- I can recall a thread in the forums wherein the poll indicated 80% atheists! This is truly intriguing. I may be connected that Wowhead users are one of the best critical thinkers in all of WoW forums! There is a downside though which leads me to elitism.
Elitism- Users don't just criticize invalid points, but they also label you wrongly as troll if they don't agree with you! That happened to me. There is also this core group that bullies some users. If you really wanna make friends in the forum, I think you should show a strong type of personality that dominate theirs. And once you get there, you'll be treated like a king!
Efficiency and Design- Hands down, Wowhead has the best forum format I've ever used. It's a little slow at time though.
Posting authorities- Wowhead's moderation is another thing I like. the mods' actions are quick, and they give you respectable reasons why they lock your thread. I just think it's a little tight though, because nothing should be about a forum user, which leads me to...
Account features- They are really lacking in this one. But as a pure critical community, there is A LOT of hate going on. So, it is understandable that they don't have a private message feature.

Overall Score: 4/5
- This could have been 5/5 really if it weren't for the elitist groups.

Nevertheless, it's one of the best official WoW forums out there!

RTK Gaming

Wow, I had a lot of fond memories in this server. This is where I started WoW back in the exact date of December 5, 2009. I played there for more than one year up until early March 2011. It was mostly due to the steep decline in population, especially in the Aftermath server (from an average of 100 down to 5 within 3 months)!
But right now, it has undergone slight improvement, and the population is starting to grow again slowly. The server could need some "peeps" or group of friends to keep it alive :)

Realm list:
Pandemonium 30X rates
Aftermath 3X (be warned of very low pop!)
*SERVER TRANSFER FEATURE

My Thoughts:
In-game wise, RTK has potential. Heck, it was one of the quickest updating WoW server (we had path 3.3.5 in June 2010!). On the other hand though, the server failed to manage the players' demands, as new trends surpassed that of RTK, such as a more varied vote shop and the a sense of innovation. Bugs got loose in the end.
Everything seems balanced though. Almost all instances are doable.
If you're looking for a fairly low pop server with in-game efficiency, don't look any further and help it to be like 2009 (glory days) again!

Overall Rating: 3/5
PvE Content: 4/5
PvP Content: 3.5/5
Forum: 3/5
Staff services: 3.5/5
Population: 2.5/5
Economy: 1.5/5
In-game community: 3/5 (a good number of core groups that ignore you often)

Magic-WoW

I've played in this server for 3 months (from March to June 2011). The reason I left is because I know things where starting to crumble.

Realm list:
Magic X3 rates
Molten (fun server) X40

Expansion:
WotLK (Patch 3.3.3)

My Thoughts:
I still think I was generous in the overall rating, if it weren't for the good PvP fixes. But Developers just treat PvE like crap! Also, by the looks of the forums, the server has very little chance of improving. I really mean it. User complaints are ignored; while forum mods praise each other for their trolling work. It's completely ridiculous!
Still, the server is worth a shot if you're looking for moderate population and surprisingly good PvP.

Overall Rating: 3/5
PvE Content: 2.5/5 (it's been more than 2 years now, yet there still haven't finished ICC and implemented emblems tsk tsk)
PvP Content: 4/5
Forum: 0/5 (atrocious, the forum mods are the trolls)
Staff services: 3/5
Population: 3.5/5
Economy: 2/5 (epic gems cost as low as 200g gold in the fun server!)
In-game community: 3.5/5 (alot of nice ppl actually, but some ppl are just so gullible, always grouping with the resident ninja, even though they know they'll get ninja'd)

Molten-WoW

I'm currently playing in this server, and it's the best one so far :D

Realms:
Lordaeron X1 rates (i play here)
Frostwolf X3
Neltharion X12
Deathwing X12
Sargeras X20

Expansion:
WotLK Patch 3.3.5

My Thoughts:
Everything just works very well, especiallt with the high population. Be warned though, there are timezones in which you have to queue up with 100 of ppl; pop cap is 2750. With the launch of Lordaeron, it has become one of the most innovative private servers out there! Be prepared, Cataclysm is coming in a few months. Molten is definitely the biggest and the best WoW private server ever!

Rating: 4.5/5 (almost perfect!)
PvE Content: 4.5/5
PvP Content: 3/5
Staff services: 3.5/5
Forum: 5/5
Population: 5/5
Economy: 4.5/5
In-game community: 4.5/5 (now, this is what we call a world community, lots of Europeans here! You'll meet kinds of ppl here, good ones and bad ones; there's just an awesome variety!)
